Orgue de choeur
In 1839, the Congregation of the Sacred Heart founded a boarding school for 80 to 100 girls at Kientzheim near Colmar. In 1844, some of the young Noviciates from this congregation arrived from Montet, in the Canton of Fribourg (Switzerland) because at that time, Fribourg did not tolerate religious congregations. In 1846-47, an organ was built for the Sacred Heart congregation by the Callinet brothers of Rouffach (Haut-Rhin). In the establishment's account books for 28th of February 1847 can be found the expense of 1,000 francs paid to Messrs. Callinet who only requested payment when the organ was installed. In about 1880, Martin Rinckenbach modified the organ by adding an expression box and a voix celeste instead of the four-foot flute stop in the positive in accordance with the taste of the time, fortunately without affecting the instrument's beautiful harmony. When the Sisters of the Sacred Heart sold their Kientzheim school in 1984, there was a danger that the organ would be sold or damaged. That is why the Sisters of the Sacred Heart in Toulouse, whose Chapel serves as parish church for the Rangueil neighbourhood and whose church needed an organ, decided to have the instrument transferred to Toulouse. In July 1985, Christian Guerrier, organ builder at Willer (Haut-Rhin), transferred the organ to Toulouse and installed it in the Chapel of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart, now re-named the Church of St Marc. Willer cleaned the instrument thoroughly, restored damaged mechanics and installed a new façade on the case of the récit (previously the positive). This façade, which had disappeared during the 1914-18 War, had never had a speaking pipe, despite being in tin. The inauguration took place on the 25th of October 1985 with Philippe Bachet, who took delivery of the instrument in Toulouse.étain..L'inauguration a eu lieu le 25 octobre 1985 avec Philippe Bachet, qui assura la réception de l'instrument à Toulouse.
