Reynier Guerrero Alvarez

Reynier Guerrero Alvarez was born the 4 April 1980, Havana, Cuba. Master degree on violin and chamber music at the University of Arts, Cuba, on 2003. On 2002 he obtained the distinction Laureate of Arts, one of the highest distinctions given to an artist by the Ministry of Culture of Cuba. From 2003 until 2006 he worked for the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba. In 2012 he obtained the ancient music Master degree at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Lyon.

He is concertmaster and co-founder of Il Delirio Fantastico baroque ensemble, led by the organist Vincent Bernhardt. In the center of their group, since 2009 he develop an intense instrumental research, inspired by venetian formations by the time of Vivaldi, as well as the structures led by Bach in Leipzig and the orchestra of the Dresden court.

Since 2007, Reynier Guerrero develops a continuous artistic activity with various french and european baroque ensembles such as Les Arts Florissants, Concerto Soave, Les Nouveaux Caractères, New Century Baroque, Les Cyclopes and Desmarest. He occasionally works as concertmaster with the Ensemble Baroque de Toulouse and Le Concert de L’Hostel Dieu.
