Vocal ensemble Viva Voce

The Viva Voce vocal ensemble has followed an original musical path in Toulouse for many years. Founded twenty years ago by Henri Laval, who still directs it, this women’s choir never tires of exploring the rare and precious repertory dedicated to this type of choral ensemble.

From the Romantic period down to modern music, the fifteen or so female choristers who compose the choir have thus perused musical pages written by Mendelssohn, Poulenc, Massenet, Britten, Holst, Elgar and many others, sung in sacred or profane programmes performed « a capella » or with a few professional musicians.

A 2nd Prize received in the National Contest entitled « Florilège vocal de Tours », as well as two musical creations and several recordings are landmarks for this choir which is acknowledged for the quality of its interpretations and the freshness of its voices.
