Angela Metzger, born in Germany, has studied church music and organ at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich with Prof. Edgar Krapp and Prof. Bernhard Haas. She passed all her diplomas and completed the master’s degree with highest grades; this summer, she completed her Artist Diploma with Prof. Bernhard Haas. Furthermore, she studied oboe with Konrad Zeller at the Innsbruck Conservatory (Austria). Angela Metzger received a scholarship from the Cusanuswerk, (scholarship body of the Catholic Church) and the Germany Scholarship “Deutschlandstipendium”. In 2011, she was accepted into Yehudi Menuhin’s “Live Music Now” foundation. She is laureate of several international organ competitions: first prize at the “Fugato” Organ Competition in Bad Homburg, third prize in Wiesbaden, special prize “Talent Tögel” at the ARD International Music Competition, second prize in Saint-Maurice (Switzerland), third prize and audience award in Tokyo-Musashino (Japan). In 2015, she is laureate of the 1st price of the International Organ Competition of Wuppertal (Germany).
