Reuniting five young recorder players from Lyon CNSMD, the Consort Brouillamini is a quite unusual formation. In 2010, the Consort graduated from the CNSMD, obtaining a Masters degree in chamber music with the highest possible distinction. Studying ancient treatises about ornamentation, instruments or interpretation, the consort aims at recreating lively musical performances of the Renaissance and Baroque repertories. The ensemble is also keen on transcribing baroque pieces and on playing contemporary works. The Consort has performed in France : Nantes, Strasbourg, Paris, Royan, festival baroque de Tarentaise, Sinfonia en Périgord and in foreign countries, Spain, Italy. In July 2012, the Consort Brouillamini won the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Special Prize of the 1st International Early Music Contest of Gijón. In March 2015, the Consort was invited by Gaelle Le Gallic to perform in her France Musique radio program, « Génération Jeunes Interprètes ».
