Matthieu De Miguel

Matthieu de Miguel entered the Conservatoire of Bordeaux in 1999 learning with F.Espinasse. Following extensive studies with E.Darracq. He obtained a scholarship in 2004 in Toulouse where he began studying in earnest with M.Bouvard, J.W.Jansen, S.Bois and P.Lefebvre.
Following further studies with T.Dussaut and G.Ferla graduated from the C.E.S.M., he probably received the best training through a series of Master Classes with L.Robilliard or D.Roth. In 2005, he began teaching in Gironde the same year he obtained the Diploma.
Matthieu de Miguel has a propensity for music of the 19th and 20th century and is renowned for his passionate technique in transcribing major orchestral works for the organ which he performs as a soloist or “à quatre mains’” with S.Bois. He is often heard playing prestigious organs in churches throughout France. He was appointed “titulaire” of the instrument in the Saint Nicolas Church in Toulouse.
He is assistant organist in the prestigious Saint Sernin basilica and was also nominated as organist of the Magnificent organ of la Dalbade of the same town.
