Bernadetta Šuňavská

Bernadetta Šuňavská has won prizes in major competitions throughout Europe. She is a graduate of music Conservatories in Kosice, Bratislava studying Organ with Ferdinand Klinda, and most recently in Freiburg im Breisgau and Stuttgart, where her organ teachers included Klemens Schnorr and Bernhard Haas. She lives near Munich.
Her acclaimed performances of original and adapted organ music from early to contemporary repertoire can be heard frequently at organ festivals as well as philharmonic concert programmes. In 2016 she appeared - among others - in the Philharmonie Essen with a notable performance of Niccolo Castiglioni’s Sinfonie guerriere et amorose (together with Bernhard Haas) as well as at the International Organ Summer in Fulda. In June she closed the 2016 season of the Slovak Philharmonic Concert Hall where she premiered her latest adaptations of Stravinsky’s Three movements of Pétrouchka and Slovak composer Eugen Suchoň’s ’Little Suite with passacaglia’.
