Barbara Hünninger

Barbara Hünninger begins the cello at the Musikschule Basel (Switzerland).

After one year of private lessons of the viola da gamba with Silvia Teccardi, she joins the class of Emmanuelle Guigues in Villeurbanne (FR) in 2010. She begins the baroque cello one year after, with Hilary Metzger. In 2012 she enters, as a violist, the class of Marianne Muller at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique of Lyon where she gets the Bachelor diploma in 2015. At the same time, she continues the baroque cello in Villeurbanne and receives the DEM diploma in 2016.

During her studies, Barbara had the chance to receive teaching in several courses and masterclasses with Sylvie Moquet, Friederike Heumann, Jordi Savall, Paolo Pandolfo, Guido Balestracci and Hille Perl.
She has played in festivals and concert series, such as “Les tribunes baroques” (CH), “Festival Radio France Montpellier” (FR), “Les Rendez-vous de Musique Ancienne” (FR) and “Fringe Festival d’Utrecht” (NL) and plays regularly with different young ensembles from Lyon, in particular with the “Kapsber’girls”, “Les voies fleuries”, « l’Arlequinte » or « l’Archivolte ».
