Dylan Crossman grew up in France and received his Bachelor’s degree from the Laban Centre in London. He moved to New York in 2006 and has danced for various choreographers including Brian Brooks, Wally Cardona and Sean Cúrran. Dylan joined the Merce Cunningham Dance Company in 2009 and was a part of the company’s final tour. Now freelancing, he works with Kimberly Bartosik/Daela, Sally Silvers, Ryan McNamara and Pam Tanowitz. Dylan is on faculty at the Cunningham Trust, SUNY Purchase, Burklyn Ballet Theater (VT) and Rutgers University.
Dylan’s company, Crossman Dans(c)e, looks at identity issues within the frame of formalism. A 2016 Schonberg fellow at The Yard (MV), Dylan will be presented by David Parker in December (NY) and by Jay Wegman at Abrons Art Center in June 2017, thanks to a Jerome Robbins Foundation grant. Dylan works with children as well as adults, introducing them to Merce Cunningham’s creative ideas and philosophy. Check out the latest news at www.dylancrossman.org
