Marc Chiron

Marc Chiron was born in Cholet in 1974 and began his musical studies at the age of eight in his hometown then in Nantes. He pursued his studies to the Conservatoire National de Musique of Paris, where he obtained in 1997 three first prizes : musical writing, continuo and organ in classes of Michel Bouvard, Michel Chapuis and Olivier Latry. In 2000, Marc Chiron was finalist in the International Organ Competition of Chartres.

He regularly gives concerts as a soloist in many countries (France, Europe and Brazil): Cathedrals Notre-Dame of Paris, Chartres, Nantes, Poitiers… He also often plays with orchestras and instrumentals ensembles and has participated in several recordings.

Marc Chiron has created organ works of Jacques Lenot (Saint-Eustache, Paris) and Eric Tanguy. He also participated in many festivals: Burgos (Spain), Landsberg (Germany), Sylvanès, Saint-Malo, Toulouse les Orgues, Le Printemps des Orgues in Angers, Bédarieux…

In 2010, one of his concerts given at the Cathedral of Alès was broadcast on France Musique Radio. In 2013, the Consulate of France in Brazil invited him to play in Rio de Janeiro (Antiga Se) for 2013 World Youth Day.
