Michel Bouvard
The first prize of the International Competition of Toulouse (1983) marked the beginning of Michel Bouvard’s career. He was called by Xavier Darasse to succeed him at the organ class of the CNR of Toulouse in 1985. With Willem Jansen, he created the International Toulouse les Orgues Festival in 1996.
In 1995, Michel Bouvard was named organ teacher at the CNSM of Paris with his friend Olivier Latry. Since 1996, he has been the organist of the historic organ Cavaille-Coll in the Saint Sernin Basilica of Toulouse, and since 2010 one of the 4 organists of the Royal Chapel of Versailles.
Recognized on the international stage as one of the most charming French interpreters, his career as a concert performer and teacher regularly brings him to around twenty countries in Europe, Asia, and on the American continent.
