Native of Toulouse, the soprano Sonia Menen was awarded with a Vocal diploma by the CRR of Toulouse in June 2010. She perfects her singing with the greatest : Leontina Vaduva, Rie Hamada, Florian Laconi, Gabriel Bacquier, Andrew Schroeder, Jean-Marc Bouget, … and more recently with Claudine Ducret.
She makes her first steps on stage in 2007 in L’Enfant et les sortileges in Pibrac theater. She continues by approaching roles of different styles going of the opera (Papagena/Die Zauberflôte; Zerlina/Don Giovanni; La comtesse/Le Nozze di Figaro; Micaela/Carmen), the operetta (Eurydice/Orphée aux enfers; Catherine/Pomme d’Api; Fiorella/Les Brigands), the sacred music (Soprano solo in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem; Gloria by Francis Poulenc; Psaume 42 by Félix Mendelssohn; Great mass in C minor by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; Petite messe solennelle by Gioachino Rossini) and to the French and foreign melody which she interprets during concerts and recitals.
