Conductus Ensemble

Founded in 2002 by Andoni Sierra, the Conductus Ensemble Musical Association is a vocal and instrumental group formed by almost one hundred professional musicians and amateurs, singers and instrumentalists, many of them members in turn of the most important formations Professionals from all over Europe.

United by the same interest that is able to offer the most important vocal repertoire - instrumental of all time, the ensemble is presented in different formats adapting its workforce in number of musicians and in type of instrumental to the needs of each production.

In these 15 years of existence, the group has offered more than 100 concerts in important auditoriums such as the Auditorio Nacional de Madrid, the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao, the Kursaal Auditorium in San Sebastián; At festivals such as the Toulouse les Orgues International Festival (France), the Quincena Musical Donostiarra, Ziortzako Kontzertuak; And in such important cycles as the Cycle of the Kursaal Foundation, the Cycle of the Riojaforum Auditorium, or the Cycle of the Complutense University among others, always obtaining the unanimous applause of the critics and the public.

Throughout these more than one hundred concerts, the formation has offered more than 50 differents programs and 90 different works, among them such important titles as the "Vespers of the Blessed Virgin" by C. Monteverdi, the "Passion according to Saint John ", " The Passion According to St. Matthew "," Mass in B minor "or “the Motetes” by J. S. Bach, Mozart’s, Brahms’s Requiem etc..

Future engagements include the "St. Matthew Passion" by J. S. Bach, "The Office of the Dead" by T. L. de Victoria and "The Creation" by J. Haydn.

Starting in the course of 2014 - 2015, the formation will offer its own season in the framework of the Basilica Santa María del Coro de San Sebastián for which they take the name of "Chapel of Music Santa María del Coro", project that wants to be the recovery of the old chapel of music that for more than three centuries existed in the basilica.

Andoni Sierra, has a degree in the direction of orchestra (Musikene 2006), piano (Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid 1992), harpsichord and music theory (Conservatory of Music of San Sebastián 2001) and also in Economics (University of Deusto). He is currently conductor of the orchestra of the Conservatorio Francisco Escudero de San Sebastián.
