Albane Imbs

Albane Imbs discovered the renaissance lute at 6 years old and attended her first lute lessons with Pascale Boquet. In 2012, she was admitted to the CNSMD in Lyon in the class of Rolf Lislevand with whom she learns mastering several historical plucked instruments as theorbo, archlute and baroque guitar. She obtains her master degree of Early Music in 2017.
As soloist or continuist, she’s performing within well-known ensembles such as Le Concert des Nations (Jordi Savall), Pygmalion (Raphaël Pichon), Kapsberger Ensemble (Rolf Lislevand), Ensemble Consonance (François Bazola).
Various music projects and master-classes allows her to develop musical and artistic skills thanks to renowned conductors such as René Jacobs, Hervé Niquet, Dominique Visse or Vincent Dumestre.
In 2015, Albane creates her own ensemble, Les Kapsber’girls, a vocal and instrumental quartet, with the envy of rediscovering, off the beaten path, disregarded compositions of the 17th and 18th centuries.
Since 2012, she possesses a degree in pedagogy and works frequently in educational environments.
