Sainte Anne Chapel - Gallery organ

Anselmi and Luciano Tamburini – 1980

In 1980, a private donation enabled the Friends of the Organ of Saint-Etienne Cathedral in Toulouse to purchase a new instrument for the Chapel of Sainte-Anne, adjoining the Cathedral, to replace the one built by Jean-Baptiste Puget in 1899.
It was decided to build an organ in the Italian style to suit the Italianate architecture of the chapel, and also to further extend the already broad organ heritage of the City of Toulouse.

The organ in the Chapel of Sainte-Anne is a kind of synthesis of different Italian organ styles in both regional and historic terms.
The organ was harmonised by Luciano Tamburini and inaugurated by Luigi-Ferdinando Tagliavini and René Saorgin.
